Hey Everyonne
I know have only been posting new releases and other stuff on the blog and not enough about my life outside writing lately. So today I decided to give my blogger friends (i.e YOU!) *SMILE* an update for everything going on in my world. And trust me there is alot. LOL
First thing...I am going to be a mom again :) Yup Dahlia is expecting. I am due around the end of May early June 2009. Don't worry I will still be at Con Carolinas this year just rounder.. LOL. So I am going to be working hard to get all my projects done and completed so that when he/she arrives in the world I can take a well deserved break. Both myself and big daddy are thrilled at our new bun in the proverbial oven and can't wait for him/ her to arrive. I'll keep you updated as time goes on. Now if anyone has a cure for morning sickness. Feel free to email me..LOL. My favorite thing to eat lately is Rum and Rasin Ice cream a few spoonfuls of that makes everything ok.. :)

Next year I will be having two new novel out with Amnira Press called Touch of Evil and Hot Lips and Cherry Lollipops. Two different books but filled with suspense action and of course ertoica all rolled into one.
2009 will also have me writing for some new top publishers in the industry. I have been invited by Circlet Press to submit and a few others which I am keeping under my hat for now..LOL But you can be sure as soon as I have more information I will be shouting it from the roof tops and celebreating with you all. No alcohol though..LOL
So I think that's it for now. Oh Oh Oh!! you should check the blog and my space in December for my Ho Ho Ho Christmas giveaway! Can you say Christmas treats and prizes Galore! Including a give away of a tote filled with autographed copies of everyone one of my print books!

Dragon Con 2008! We're Home!!
Hey Guys and Dollz
I had a fantabulous time in Atlanta this year at Dragon Con. We hung out with some of the old friends and made some new ones as well! Between myself and Crymsyn Hart we passed out tons of promotion for our books.
This was Robert's first big event with me when it comes to my promotions of my books! He loved it as much as we did and even got into wearing a gypsy shirt and tunic as a costume!
Whew now I am one tired lady and glad to be home. Doesn't mean I wouldn't do it all over again!

First Look! The Collettes 'Willa" Cover
Hey Hey gang!
It is a good Monday :) School started today and I got my third cover for my vampire series. I wanted to debut it here with everyone!
This series has been getting rave reviews! And all three will together in print on the same day of the final book is released. (September 29th) This is the final chapter of the Collette sisters. Robert "Aka" Big Daddy's Birthday Extravaganza!
It was a sultry summer night in August. And my big guy Robert had his 40th birthday on Friday! Now you know I could not let this past without a few friends, a few drinks and tons of fun that could not be matched. Who says you can't have fun at 40? He sure did!! And guess what we will continue to have fun even when we are old and gray. Age is a number not a state of mind.
He says to remind my blogger buddies that he is forty with no gray hair. I have the pictures to prove it..LOL

My Daughter's 16th Birthday!! Pics And A Blog About Deanna
July 5th 1992. Deanna Sapphire King was Born. I was only 16 at the time (Young I know). But from the time I knew of her conception, she was my blessing.
At an age where girls were thinking about parties and proms, crushes and clothes. I was a mother. I lead a somewhat sheltered life. I went to great schools and my dad made sure we lacked for nothing. When I found out I was pregant I did not bat an eyes to tell my parents. They were disappointed yes, but they stood by me as I made my decisions. I was going to keep my litle dream girl.
I had to put aside childish things and become responsible, I had another little life to take care of (Well not so little, she was 9lbs 3 0z when she was born). LOL
I stepped out on my own, I worked, I went to school and I travelled all the while my little girl was with me. I was not going to be another satistic, another blip on the screen. No matter where I was in the world. I was going to succeed, She was not going to lack for anything I made sure of it. and she never did. I had to be strong, if I wasn't who was going to be strong for her.
We experienced everything together, we smiled and laughed together thoughout the years. And as I sat yesterday looking at her it seemed as if 16 years went by in the blink of an eye. More than once she caught me looking at her with tears in my eyes rembering the little thing she was when she first started life. I played it all like a movie in my head.
Where ever I went, she did too. In all of the roads I have travelled her little hands were firmly in mine. Other hands have joined our since the jounney began. But hers were the first and now they have grown into the elgant hands of a young woman. Yesterday she told me that I was a kick ass mom. All the hard work I put into my books and my careers was for her and her brothers and sister. But hearing your oldest daughter tell you she was proud of you and how you raised her was validation enough for me.
So join me in saying Happy sweet sixteen to my baby girl. Who has become a wonderful young woman. Even now sometimes she crawls into bed with me. I can close my eyes and remember the tiny thing with the brillaint smile running on the beach in a diaper and high top sneakers because she was afrad of the sand. I inhaled the smell of coconut oil as I rubbed it in her hair before she went to bed. She slept on my chest as I braided her hair and went to sleep in her favorite Barney PJ's (She's going to hate that I told that...LOL). I love you Deanna and even when you are in your 30's you will still be my baby in high tops.

If Everyone Cared Blog By Dahlia Music video by Nickleback
From the first time I heard the first few strums of this song and the first few bars I fell in love with its meaning. It was not until I saw the actual video that Nickleback made for their song that I saw the real depth of the message they were trying to send out.
It gave me goosebumps to know that people were still thinking, still trying to make this world a better place. Using their talent to never let us forget.
What is everyone cared, I know it seems unrealisitc but it is a what if? That still gives me hope for my children as they grow up. That as adult they will learn from the mistakes of the past and this world will be better for them and for genrations after that.
I encourage you all to watch this video and let the music flow through you. See the vision of what this marevlous group was saying when they wrote it and made this video. Tell me your thoughts as well.
The message at the end of the video is clear, maybe we can all take it to heart.

Con Carolinas 2008! Pictures Of Our Convention Weekend!
It has been a long but fun weekend!
Myself, Crymsyn Hart and Sabrina Luna and the great honor and pleasure to be guest at Con Carolinas! We met bunches of great people.

1. My husband and I divorced over religious differences. He thoughthe wasGod and I didn't.
2. I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.
3. Some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them.
4. I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.
5. Don't take life too seriously; No one gets out alive.
6. You're just jealous because the voices only talk to me
7. Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.
8. Earth is the insane asylum for the universe.
9. I'm not a complete idiot -- Some parts are just missing

Last Night at Allure Booksigning
So last night I put on my Dahlia finery and went out to my first nighttime book signing at Allure here in Charlotte.
I want to say thanks to Nathan and R&B Live Charlotte for inviting me out to this event! I had a blast!
Don't forget that R&V Live Charlotte is every Wednesday from 9 pm at Allure!!
I know I promised some pics so here they are..I'll let them do the talking because I am just tired today. LOL..
