Dahlia: Welcome to my little slice of the interview world Skylar! Would you mind telling us a little more about how you got started in writing?

Thank you so much for having me, Dahlia
I have always loved the written word. I starting reviewing about three years ago and I still do, but I wanted to better understand the workings of writing a story, so I tried my hand at it. An editor friend took a look at what I wrote, helped me refine the story and it was contracted within a week by Midnight Showcase. That story was Swing by Me in the Summer Heat 3 anthology, which is available in ebook and print. Since then, I never looked back and have been penning fantasy, paranormal and contemporary erotic works ever since.

2: Dahlia: You have so many titles out now. What is the inspiration behind them? What is your use as a muse?

I love creating worlds and realms that have not yet been explored or written about, with alpha characters that rock the pages. Having so many great authors I have read has given me triggers to start from. I think reading is as important as writing. When my muse stops talking, I pickup a book and that helps unlock my mind.
My muse is a quirky male that is more fickle than anyone I know. When he is talking, he is outrageous. When he is silent I want to ring his neck. All in all, I could not write without his internal voice beckoning me to write on…

3: Dahlia: Do you have any upcoming releases that you could tell us about?

4: Dahlia: You are not only a great author but a cover artist as well. (Skylar does all my covers). What other hats does skylark Sinclair wear?

I am also a book reviewer (natural I do not use the name Skylar Sinclair) and I love it!
Reading takes me away from everyday life to live amid the words of an author.
Reading truly is the spice of life!

7: Dahlia: If there was one place in the world you could visit where would it be and why?

I would love to travel through the UK. There is so much history and legend in the UK to explore and learn.

8: Dahlia: Christmas Ink was one of my favorite books. Tell us what was your favorite book to write and why?

To be truthful, what I am writing at any instance is what I find to be my favorite. It is hard to pick just one book, when they all hold a special place in my heart.

9: Dahlia: If you are not writing Skylar what would we find you doing to relax?

I do puzzles, cook and naturally read. One of my favor things is my daily date with Mr. Bubbles :)

10: Dahlia: What are some of your favorite things in life? Foods, colors etc?

My most favorite things are creating, whether it is writing, digital art or cooking. I just like to keep busy and my mind occupied.

11: Dahlia: Have you set any goals for yourself and your writing career in 2007?

I write because I love it. I have four stories/books that need to be written that are already contracted, and that is about as far as I am looking right now. I will hopefully have some good news in the next month or so that I can share, but for now, I am keeping that to myself .

12: Dahlia: What hottie from the silver screen would play a character in your favorite book?

I am so busy with writing, reading and just plain living, I do not watch much TV or go to movies. I know I am boring.

13: Dahlia: If you could have one hot guy for a day to do your bidding who would it be and what will they be doing?

14: Dahlia: Are their any mottos in life you would like to share with your readers?

I believe you can do and be anything if you desire it enough. Never give up and always keep faith in yourself. You truly are your own best friend.

15: Dahlia: Are there any contests that you have coming up? Tell us about it and where everyone can enter.

I am always giving away books on my newsletter group. Anyone can join. This is an announcement group only and there are about 3 to 4 posts a month when I have releases and news.
